One Answer To the Lives Per Gallon Problem
I'm still reading this must-read, new book, titled "Lives Per Gallon", and learned the damage to our lungs from two-stroke motors. As a result, I thought of walking over to E-Ride/Greenwit, the electric bike shop. E-Ride (e-ride.ca) moved their showroom to Main & 2nd, Vancouver, and they've got 4X more room. Steve and Katy were nice enough to take time to take these photos of me on their newest electric 'motorcycle' -- a scooter design. Rode it home for a minute, and back to their shop, using side roads and the busy 2nd, a.k.a. Great Northern Way, Vancouver's hidden highway in the city.
Everything here is just my opinion, worth only 2 cents: This scooter was very comfortable, my rear end didn't feel a thing. Brakes were very good, but I miss the regen braking on my Ego-II electric scooter. Handling and balance is superior to the EVT-4000e electric scooter. The balance (centre of balance) in a scooter this heavy is important -- this E-Ride scooter's balance is very good. The initial acceleration, from take-off, is just like a 50cc. At mid-RPM, there is a noticable increase in acceleration. Very smooth linear acceleration, unlike the sudden jerk of the EVT-4000e electric scooter. The throttle grip's movement range is satisfactory, compared to the EVT-168 that I tested last year.
As my rides were short, this isn't a review of E-Ride's 2-speed (electric-switches gearing) e-motorcycle. Properly done product reviews should take at least a week, imo; these days, you'll sometimes see wishy-washy reviews based on a 2-hour ride, or some such nonsense.

Anyway, this e-motorcycle is E-Ride's model Motorino GTx - $3999.
My Revived Battery Electric Pickup Truck costs only 30 cents per day to operate, including the cost of battery replacement!
